Trenton Men Surrenders After PA Gentleman's Club Shooting (Update)

A New Jersey man has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a Pennsylvania gentlemen's club that left an innocent bystander with critical injuries, authorities announced on Thursday evening, Aug. 29.

Pedro E. Rodriguez, 27, of Trenton, NJ, was identified as the shooter, police had announced on Thursday morning, Aug. 28. 

Rodriguez and another man fled  after the shooting at The Border at 440 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, in Morrisville, PA  in a Lexus SUV heading north on Route 1 into Trenton, authorities said.

The 28-year-old victim was an innocent bystander attempting to help staff break up a fight in the doorway of the club around 1:15 a.m., the Bucks County District Attorney's Office said. 

At the time of the incident, 17 patrons/employees were inside of the establishment. 

Rodriguez turned himself over to the police around 4:45 p.m. that day. 

He was charged with 24 offenses including Felony Criminal Attempted Homicide, Felony Aggravated Assault (two counts), Felony Discharge Of A Firearm Into Occupied Structure, Misdemeanor Possession of an Instrument Of Crime With Intent, Simple Assault (two counts), and Misdemeanor Recklessly Endangering Another Person (17 counts), the police said and court records confirmed. 

His preliminary arraignment  was held before Magisterial District Judge Corryn L. Kronnagel who set his bail at $5,000,000, DA's office said and court records confirmed. He remains in the Buck County Correctional Facility with a preliminary hearing set before the judge at 9 a.m. on Sept. 10, according to his latest court docket in Pennsylvania. 

Rodriguez has a criminal record in the state of unsafe equipment and disorderly conduct, court records show.
